about

Tom Kazas composed and recorded the original music for The Wound, the Lex Marinos devised stage production. A mixed media, multi-faceted theatre exploration of Hellenism, including the neo-electro-byzantine piece “Letter to the Dead”. Season at the Sidetrack and Enmore Theatres Sydney. These nine Tom Kazas tracks are from the original theatre soundtrack release that also included six other pieces by various composers. Produced by Tom Kazas and Lex Marinos.

"Since the time of Odysseus, Greeks have been a migratory race, but do they ever leave Greece? Or is it simply the idea of Greece that is immortal? Lex Marinos brings together some of Australia's best known Greek-Australian actors, writers, designers and musicians to create a work which gives new insights into that unique and overwhelming state of being... "Greekness'. With often hilarious consequences, 1st,2nd, and 3rd generation Greek-Australians come to terms with heir own identity. Despite the obligatory identity crisis, growing up Greek doesn't necessarily preclude growing up Australian. Drama, comedy, music, dance, poetry and video are combined in a series of short stories."
